Our independence promise
CareLocate is independently owned. We have no financial relationship with any provider on our platform — and we never will.
Why independence matters in care directories
Most care directories in Australia have a conflict of interest baked into their business model. That matters — because when a directory has financial ties to the providers it lists, you can't trust that the results you see are in your best interest.
Clickability
Acquired in 2025 by Find a Carer, which is itself a disability service provider. The directory now lists providers it competes with — and ranks providers in ways that benefit its parent company.
MyCareSpace
Has commercial partnerships with providers it lists. Promoted providers pay for placement — which means the results you see reflect commercial arrangements, not quality or fit.
NDIS Provider Finder (government)
No reviews. No availability data. No way to compare providers beyond basic registration status. Useful for checking whether a provider is registered — not useful for choosing one.
What makes CareLocate different
CareLocate was built from scratch to be the directory we wished existed — one that participants can actually trust.
No provider ownership
CareLocate is not owned by, invested in, or affiliated with any disability service provider.
No paid search placement
Providers cannot pay to appear higher in search results. Rankings are based on relevance, location, and availability — nothing else.
No referral kickbacks
We don't receive commissions, lead fees, or referral payments when a participant contacts or signs up with a provider.
No preferred providers
There's no backroom arrangement with any provider. Every provider on CareLocate is treated equally.
Verified reviews only
Reviews are verified before publication. We don't allow providers to delete or hide negative reviews.
How CareLocate makes money — honestly
We're a business. Here's exactly how we generate revenue.
Pro subscriptions — $199/month
Providers can pay for a Pro profile that unlocks additional features: a photo gallery, a longer description, a featured badge, and enquiry analytics. This is how we sustain the platform.
The featured badge does not affect search ranking
Pro providers receive a small "Featured" badge on their profile card. It's a visual indicator — it does not move them up in search results. A free provider who is a better match will always appear above a Pro provider who isn't.
No referral fees. No lead gen commissions. Ever.
We will never charge providers per enquiry, per lead, or per sign-up. That model creates the wrong incentives — it makes us financially motivated to generate volume over quality. We won't do it.
Our commitment to you
Finding the right NDIS provider is one of the most important decisions a participant or family member makes. It affects quality of life, safety, and whether someone reaches their goals.
That decision deserves a directory that is genuinely on your side. One that shows you the best match — not the highest bidder. One that publishes honest reviews — not curated testimonials. One that tells you when a provider isn't accepting clients — rather than sending you on a wild goose chase.
That's what CareLocate is built to be. We'll keep earning your trust by being transparent about how we work — and by never compromising it for a commercial relationship.
