Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
1. What CareLocate is
CareLocate is an independent online directory of NDIS providers operating in Australia. We provide a platform for participants, families, and carers to search for and contact providers, and for providers to list and manage their profiles.
CareLocate is not a disability service provider. We do not deliver any disability supports or services. We are not a registered NDIS provider. We have no financial relationships with any provider listed on our platform.
By using CareLocate, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
2. Who can use it
CareLocate may be used by:
- NDIS participants, their families, carers, and support coordinators searching for providers
- NDIS providers (registered and unregistered) listing their services
- General visitors accessing information on the platform
You must be 18 years or older to create a provider account or submit an enquiry. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must act on your behalf.
3. For searchers
Enquiries
When you submit an enquiry through CareLocate, your contact details and message are forwarded to the provider you selected. CareLocate is not a party to any arrangement, agreement, or service relationship that results from that enquiry. Any agreement you enter into is directly between you and the provider.
Provider information disclaimer
Provider profiles on CareLocate contain information supplied by providers or sourced from the NDIA's public register. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but we do not guarantee that profile details — including availability, pricing, registration status, or service areas — are current or complete. Always confirm details directly with the provider before making decisions.
Reviews
By submitting a review, you confirm that it reflects your genuine experience and does not contain false or misleading information. You grant CareLocate a non-exclusive licence to publish and display your review on the platform. We reserve the right to remove reviews that breach our guidelines.
4. For providers
Listings
By claiming a listing or creating a provider profile, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to represent the organisation. You are responsible for keeping your profile up to date. CareLocate reserves the right to remove or suspend listings that contain false or misleading information.
Acceptable use
Providers must not:
- Submit fake reviews or solicit reviews in exchange for benefits
- Use CareLocate to contact participants for unsolicited marketing
- Misrepresent registration status, qualifications, or service capabilities
- Attempt to manipulate search rankings or the review system
- Use the platform in any way that violates Australian law
Pro subscriptions
Pro subscriptions are available to providers at $199/month (AUD, inc. GST). Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — there are no partial refunds for unused months.
A Pro subscription unlocks additional profile features (photo gallery, extended description, featured badge, enquiry analytics). The featured badge is a visual indicator only — it does not affect a provider's position in search results.
5. Intellectual property
All content on CareLocate — including the CareLocate name, logo, design, and editorial content — is owned by CareLocate and protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Provider profile content (descriptions, photos) remains the intellectual property of the provider. By uploading content to CareLocate, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform.
6. Limitation of liability
CareLocate provides a directory service only. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or suitability of any provider listed on the platform, or for any outcome resulting from a participant engaging a provider they found through CareLocate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareLocate's liability for any claim arising from use of the platform is limited to the amount paid by you to CareLocate in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if no amount was paid).
Nothing in these Terms excludes any consumer guarantee or right under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of CareLocate will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
